Home Base Services Program Assistant – Part Time

A Chance to Grow (ACTG) is a non-profit agency dedicated to promoting the maximum development of the whole child through innovative, individualized, and comprehensive brain-centered programs and services.  We offer a comprehensive whole child center model.

ACTG is hiring a Part Time Program Assistant to work in our Home Based Services Department

Responsibilities:

Duties includes but not limited to: filing, faxing, chart maintenance, intake packets, file reviews, data entry, scheduling, task as needed by the department communicate with RN/QP about workflow, client paperwork etc.

Education
HS Diploma or equivalent

Qualification/Skills:

  1. 1-2 year’s excellent customer services experience

  2. Detailed orientated and be able to take instruction and follow through.

  3. Ability to organize and prioritize a multitude of tasks

  4. Ability to maintain accurate data with attention to detail

  5. Proficient in google docs, excel, and Microsoft word, with the ability to learn new software.

  6. Ability to work independently

  7. Courteous and professional manner is a must.

Work Schedule:
Monday – Thursday 10:00am to 4:00pm
Friday 10:00am to 2:00pm
No weekends, No holidays

Required Qualifications:

  • Passion for working with young children
  • At least 1 year in a teaching or assistant teaching position in Early Education Setting
  • Certification or Degree in Early Childhood Education or Equivalent
  • At least 16 Semester Credits is Education/ Psychology or related feild
  • Ability to work between the hours of 6:30am and 5:30pm
  • Ability to plan and implement high quality, interactive lesson plans
  • Ability to work well with others on the team
  • Ability to lift, stand, sit, kneel
  • Current CPR and First Aid

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors In Early Childhood Education
  • Experience working with diverse backgrounds
  • Interest in working and teaching outdoors

Developmental Optometrist

We are currently looking for an optometrist to start part-time and possibly work into a full time position.  Currently ACTG has a part-time optometric practice that provides vision exams for children, infants and adults, developmental visual testing, vision therapy, and preventative eye care.   Please consult our website for more information regarding our innovative programming at www.actg.org

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Motivated to grow the existing optometric practice with the help and support of staff at ACTG.
  • Strong desire to collaborate and work with other professionals to help provide a multidisciplinary approach for helping children and adults reach their highest potential.
  • Licensed to practice optometry in the state of Minnesota

Personal Care Assistant (PCA) for Home Based Services

Are you Compassionate? Dependable? Reliable? Adaptable? Patient? Dedicated? Willing to Learn? Our Home Based Services program seeks Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide direct support to meet the health and safety needs of special need individuals in the home and in the community. Early morning, afternoon, evening and weekend hours are often available. Qualified applicants must be 18 years or older and have experience working with special need individuals, a DHS background check, access to a reliable vehicle, car insurance if transporting is requested for open positions and must complete DHS PCA certification test.
