How many hours can I work as a PCA?

PCA are allowed to work up to 40 hours per week as a PCA. Any PCA who wishes to work more than 40 hours in any given week must receive approval from A Chance to Grow before being able to do so.

For families:

How do I qualify for PCA services?

Any family or client looking to receive PCA services should first contact their county public health department and/or insurance company. If you are having difficulty locating information for your county public health department and/or insurance company, please call us at A Chance To Grow Home Based services and we can direct you to the correct resources.

How many hours of PCA services can I receive?

Your county’s public health nurse determines the number of hours you receive during your assessment. This number will vary depending upon the type and frequency of care needed.
